Using Media Effectively to Develop the Whole Child – John Murray,@ReadingExplorer, Literacy Consultant.
Using a variety of media, including adverts and music, John will examine how best to use film in the modern classroom and explore the important impact it can have upon the reading and writing. Underpinning the vital need to adopt a ‘texcentric’ approach, he will look at how Emotional Literacy can improve not only the intellect and attainment levels but, more importantly, help nurture and develop the whole child.

John is an independent Literacy consultant, CPD trainer and guest speaker at key educational events.
