What is it like to be a dyslexic student in the Secondary Classroom? – Sally Cooke, GSAL

The aim of this workshop is to help you gain an understanding of the difficulties faced by a dyslexic student in the secondary classroom. It will include ideas on how to remove barriers to learning for dyslexic students, including a beginner’s guide to using an iPad/iPhone to support learning and organisation.
A brief bio:
Sally is a Learning Support Teacher at The Grammar School at Leeds and is a dyslexia specialist teacher-assessor. She has worked across the 3-18 range in several settings, including mainstream schools and Local Authority SEN Services. Sally also sits on an advisory panel for NASEN.
